Eight broad-spectrum fungicides covering blights, mildews, rots, and anthracnose. Key mixtures: Metrabin (Metiram + Pyraclostrobin), Eminent XL (Azoxystrobin + Tetraconazole), Castra (Boscalid + Kresoxim-methyl).

Weedicides — 9 Products

Comprehensive weed management range for cotton, wheat, rice, maize, and sugarcane. Includes both pre-emergence (Matilda, Encounter) and post-emergence (Odin, Topple, Tri-Ultra, Tonale) herbicide solutions for full-season weed control.

Adjuvants — 1 Product

Vintre (Orange Extract 6%) — a natural, biodegradable surfactant-penetrant that enhances absorption and efficacy of all co-applied agrochemicals. Compatible with fungicides, insecticides, and micronutrients.

Formulation Type Breakdown

Each formulation type has different characteristics affecting application method, efficacy, rainfastness, and crop safety.

Formulation Selection Principle

Altiga's portfolio deliberately spans multiple formulation types to cover every application scenario: SC and WG for safer, low-solvent field use; EC for hard-to-wet waxy crops; granules for soil/paddy applications without spray equipment; and water-soluble fertilizers for drip/fertigation systems. This breadth means growers don't have to switch suppliers when switching application methods.

Mode of Action Deep Dive

Understanding how each chemistry class works gives growers the insight to rotate actives effectively and prevent resistance build-up.

Diamides — Ryanodine Receptor (IRAC 28)

Chlorantraniliprole (in Conquer, Synkill, Top Gun) locks ryanodine receptors open, causing uncontrolled calcium release in insect muscles. Larvae stop feeding within hours. Low mammalian toxicity; safe in IPM programs.

Neonicotinoids — nAChR Agonists (IRAC 4A)

Imidacloprid (Imidor, Combipro) and Acetamiprid (Acenit) mimic acetylcholine at nicotinic receptors causing continuous nerve stimulation. Excellent systemic uptake makes them ideal for sucking pests that avoid contact sprays.

METI Acaricides — Complex I Inhibitors (IRAC 21)

Spirotetramate (Bispiro) and Bifenazate class compounds block mitochondrial electron transport, cutting pest energy supply. Effective on all life stages including eggs — critical for spider mite resistance management.

Strobilurins — QoI Fungicides (FRAC 11)

Azoxystrobin (Eminent XL, Evole) and Pyraclostrobin (Metrabin) block mitochondrial respiration in fungi at cytochrome bc1. Preventive and curative activity. Must be rotated with FRAC 3 or FRAC 7 to avoid resistance.

DMI Fungicides — Sterol Inhibitors (FRAC 3)

Tebuconazole (Combipro) and Tetraconazole (Eminent XL) inhibit ergosterol biosynthesis — essential for fungal cell membrane integrity. Curative activity up to 72 hrs post-infection. Broad-spectrum across Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes.

ALS Inhibitors — Herbicide Group B (HRAC)

Mesosulfuron (Odin, Tri-Ultra) and Florasulam (Tri-Ultra) inhibit acetolactate synthase — a key enzyme in branched-chain amino acid synthesis. Weeds stop growing within days. Low rates, high selectivity in wheat. Resistance risk: always tank-mix with MCPA (Group O).

Resistance Management Principle

Altiga's portfolio is structured to support proper resistance management rotation. For insecticides, rotate between IRAC Groups 4A (neonicotinoids), 28 (diamides), 6 (abamectins), 13 (pyrroles), and 3A (pyrethroids). For fungicides, alternate between FRAC 11 (strobilurins), FRAC 3 (DMIs), and FRAC 7 (SDHIs). Never apply the same mode of action consecutively.
